Description
Margaret P. Baldwin is a senior lecturer and coordinator of TPS 1107, the general education course of the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies. She is the recipient of the 2014 KSU Foundation Distinguished Teaching Award. Dr. Baldwin is also a playwright, writing her first play, But I said no, in collaboration with one of her professors in the early 1990s, shortly after receiving a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia. In 2000, Baldwin earned an MFA degree from the University of Iowa's Iowa Playwrights Workshop. The following year she returned to Atlanta and wrote plays in conjunction with the Horizon Theatre, as well as other Atlanta-area theater companies. Dr. Baldwin joined the faculty of Kennesaw State University in 2007. She teaches full time and writes and produces plays with her students related to university events, such as the Year of China and Year of Kenya celebrations.
