Description
<p>Bill Wallace joined the administration of Kennesaw College in 1987 as the Director of Human Resources. His wife, Dr. Lana Wachniak, joined the faculty in 1988 as a professor of Criminal Justice and Sociology. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 1986 and served for five years in the late 1990s as the Director of Kennesaw State University's Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). In 2000, Dr. Wachniak served as the Chair of the newly-created Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Criminal Justice, and Geography. She was also the Associate Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Dr. Wachniak was involved in founding the Homeless Awareness Week at Kennesaw State University.</p>
<p>After twelve years at Kennesaw State University, Bill Wallace moved to the Board of Regents in 1999, where he served as the Associate Vice Chancellor of Human Resources until his retirement in 2006.</p>
<p>Wallace and Wachniak endowed a Homeless Awareness 20/4/1 Scholarship at Kennesaw State University.</p>
