Oral history interview with KSU Department of Electrical Engineering chair Lance Crimm.
Description
Lance C. Crimm joined the faculty of Southern Polytechnic State University in 1997. He was part of a team of faculty members who persuaded the Board of Regents in August 2009 to establish engineering programs at SPSU in electrical, civil, and mechanical engineering. He has headed the electrical engineering program since that time, first as program director and then as department chair. Recently, the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers selected him as the 2019 Georgia Engineer of the Year. He is also a pianist and composer. One of his works, composed during the consolidation of KSU and SPSU, is entitled “Consolidation Blues.”
