Abstract
Dr. Bob Harbort joined the faculty of SPSU in 1983 and served as the first Chair of the Computer Science Department from 1983 to 1993. He served as Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence from 2006 to 2008.
Description
Dr. Bob Harbort joined the faculty of SPSU (then Southern Technical Institute) in 1983 and served as the first Chair of the Computer Science Department from 1983 to 1993. He received his M.S. in Information and Computer Science from Georgia Tech in 1975 and his Ph.D. from the Institute of Liberal Arts at Emory University in 1987. Dr. Harbort served as Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence from 2006 to 2008. After consolidation, Dr. Harbort is the Program Coordinator for the B.S. and M.S. programs in Software Engineering.
