Description
Ms. Betty A. Gray was a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in Cobb County, Georgia, from 1957 to 1990. When she became principal of Sedalia Park Elementary School in 1974, she was the only female principal in the Cobb County School District. In 1992 she was elected to the Cobb County Board of Education and served four consecutive four-year terms, including several as school-board chair. She was also an adjunct professor in KSU’s Bagwell College of Education for almost twenty years. One of the buildings on the campus of Pebblebrook High School in Mableton is the Betty A. Gray Enrichment Center.
