Oral history interview of Marietta locals Brenda Russaw McCrae.
Description
Born in Atlanta in 1956, Brenda Russaw McCrae spent most of her childhood living on military bases around the United States and Europe. When her father retired, McCrae’s family moved to her mother’s hometown of Marietta. McCrae entered Marietta High School, where she became the first Black homecoming queen in 1973. After graduation, McCrae attended the University of West Georgia and worked for Kroger for 42 years.
